The
Pocatello
Triathlon Club was formed in 2008 after a group of
enthusiastic local triathletes got together with the desire
to start a local club where people of all athletic abilities
could find camaraderie and people with whom they could run,
bike and swim. We are a diverse group of individuals from
the Pocatello-Chubbuck area who share a common interest in
multi-sport activities. The club is open to all those
interested, with first time triathletes especially welcome.
We also welcome duathletes and other multi-sporters. Our
members range from beginners to seasoned veterans.
The mission of the
Pocatello
Triathlon Club is to promote the educational pursuit
of triathlon, general physical fitness, and the
representation of the sport of triathlon within the
community of Eastern Idaho. The club is committed to
strengthening and advancing the sport of triathlon. We hope
to further our mission by hosting group training activities,
clinics, races and other social events.

The
Pocatello
Triathlon Club has an annual membership fee of $20.
Membership is valid through December 31 of the current year.
New members can join the Tri Club anytime; membership renewals
are $15 per year (sorry, no shirts and decals on renewals). In
addition, we strongly recommend that you become a
USAT member if you are not already. Becoming a USAT member
can get you access to training tips and other resources,
discounts on triathlon merchandise at selected stores and even
discounts on race registrations around the country. Plus, your
registration fee goes towards promoting the sport of triathlon
(and more races!) around the country!
To join the club, fill out
the membership form and mail it in with your dues.

All members of the
Pocatello
Triathlon Club will receive a team t-shirt (first year
of membership only), a window decal (first year of membership
only) and online access to workout and discussion forums (to
be added soon!). Also, by joining the Pocatello Triathlon
Club, you will be treated to local discounts at
Barries Ski & Sports.
Because you're a Pocatello Tri Club member, Barries' will give
you 20% off anything you purchase at the store! Other Club
Discounts are offered at Scotts Ski&
Sports and
Rob's Rides
on Bikes! Thanks to both of them for
signing on!
Refer 10 new members and
get your triathlon jersey top FREE!
Another 5 will get you some tri shorts! Be sure your friends
put your name down on the membership application in order to
get credit.
As our club grows, we also
hope to sponsor various race activities in the Pocatello area
and even lend some financial support to some of you out there
who plan to attend big races around the country. We'll also
plan several social activities so that members can get
together and workout or simply share triathlon horror stories!

Pocatello
Triathlon Club members are encouraged to purchase team
race apparel at Barrie's Ski and Sports on Yellowstone Avenue in
Pocatello (available April 2008). We encourage all our members
to wear official club jerseys. These jerseys will be sold at a
discounted price to Triathlon Club members. Supplies are limited
at the store, but more orders will be submitted as demand grows.
The jersey order for the 2009 season will occur in December or
January.
Cost is approximately $45
for race jersey and $45 for triathlon race shorts (have bike
pad). |
