ABOUT THE CLUB
The Pocatello Triathlon Club is an arm of the Idaho Cycling Enthusiasts (ICE). PokyTRI was formed in 2008 after a group of enthusiastic local triathletes got together with the desire to start a local club where people of all athletic abilities could find camaraderie and people with whom they could run, bike and swim. We are a diverse group of individuals from the Pocatello-Chubbuck area who share a common interest in multi-sport activities. The club is open to all those interested, with first time triathletes especially welcome. We also welcome duathlete, cyclists, runners and other multi-sporters. Our members range from beginners to seasoned veterans.

The mission of the Pocatello Triathlon Club is to promote the educational pursuit of triathlon, general physical fitness, and the representation of the sport of triathlon within the community of Eastern Idaho. The club is committed to strengthening and advancing the sport of triathlon. We hope to further our mission by hosting group training activities, clinics, races and other social events.

The Pocatello TRI Club is also excited to announce a partnership with the Idaho Cycling Enthusiasts (ICE) group. Now Pocatello TRI members enjoy dual membership in both clubs.

TIME TRIAL & HILL CLIMB SERIES
The Pocatello Triathlon Club encourages all our members to get active with other sport clubs in Southeast Idaho. We would especially like to thank the Idaho Cycling Enthusiasts (ICE) for their invitation to all Pocatello TRI Club members to join their BAR Series. ICE’s Time Trial Series challenges us all to improve our speed. Meet at the Rainbow Rd exit off I-86 on the announced dates. The ride is a straight out-and-back to the Bannock Peak Casino along the Frontage Road. Riders will be off at one-minute intervals starting promptly at 6:30pm. The Hill Climb Series challenges riders to a 5 mile climb up Scout Mountain Road. Park at the Cherry Springs Recreation Area parking lot and ride up to the base of Scout Mountain Road. Riders will again be launched in intervals starting at 6:30pm. For a complete list of dates for both the Time Trial Series and the Hill Climbs, see ICE’s website at www.idahocycling.com. There is NO FEE to participate. Season average winners for the Triathlon Division will receive post-season awards.
